Color Theory Workshop 1 - Escuela Federal

Escuela Federal
Encarnacion de las Rosas, Ajijic
5th and 6th Graders

In preparation for our 1st Children's Beautification Project, we held our first Color Theory Workshop today on the campus of the Escuela Federal, at the top of Encarnacion de las Rosas in Ajijic.

As you can see, the children were excited to start.

The children have been working hard on their designs and drawings, picking group members and deciding what colors they will need to recreate their drawings on the post in Ajijic.

After a short introduction and class by Maestro Fco., the kids took off and experimented with
color mixing, combination and color wheel theory.

Mostly it was a lot of fun!

Much thought was put into defining their drawings, the time needed to create their design on the city posts and colors required.

I'm always excited when one student from one group starts teaching children from another group what they just learned, sharing their newfound knowledge.

Obviously some groups were much neater than others, but all learned in their own way.

Satisfaction was reached, happy with their colors.

In the end, aren't we are all one big, beautiful rainbow?

Join us this Saturday October 22nd, 2016 from 9 a.m.to 12 noon on Colon in Ajijic, close to the carretera, as the children paint their designs on the city's post.
